Sanya, Hainan dao (2)
Another vid of hainan, this time of an interestng Chinese habit. The old people, sometimes really old, like to gather on the street to practice chanting or dancing.
Along the seashore in Sanya, you can see at night a lot of these groups ... dansing on disco music :).
Around the Chinese new year (the time i was there), there is also a lot of fireworks and 'enlightened activities' such as the 'flying lanterns'.
These lanterns are made of paper, and the candle inside make it go up in the sky, above the sea. When there are a lot in the sky at night, that's really marvelous. Unfortunately, that is not so easy to shoot at night ... you can find if interested a description at the following adress:
