Chartreuse Trek: Day 1/6

Publié le par Romain

This is a trek i always wanted to make ... finally, here i am. Well, it's not really adventure, i practiced a lot the paths in the hood. Anyway, it's the first time for me to try the round trip. Additionally, i am alone ... walking alone is a quite an interesting experience ... of course, you meet some company sometimes but on the other hand your interaction with the nature is much stronger and wild; in fact, that's really different, both have pros and cons. Whatever, departure around 8 AM, under a bright sun; me and my 20 kg of stuff ... let's go!

The first day is very classical ... i climb on the hills above my city to reach the massif... that's quite physical, cause there is more than 1000 m of denivelation to climb, but hopefully it's the first day. Whatever, the view is superb, and i meet several people on the way.

From here i was see my hooooooome!

Taking the biggest risks to bring you the best pics!

Arriving at the top after a tough walk in the forest (no curves, in the mud, you can have better time ... whatever), i appreciate the view from the top ... it's maybe the 10th time i climb there, but it is always a marvel to admire the the massif from the edge.

I am afraid it's too late for you, buddy

The 1-2 hours following are a super walk on the cliff, with a nice view on Chambéry. I go down and arrive at the pass (col du Planet) at 7PM, exhausted but happy to be in action. Unfortunately, some guys avoid the heat down in the valleys and go to their houses ... i don't want to stay out in the middle of the way in my usual location. Whatever, i climb out 200 m to get a quieter place. I wait the night to start my fire (never checked, but that should not be legal :) ) and i sleep under a roof of shining stars ... life is beautiful :)
