American Travelnotes 3/7 - New York

New York New York!!

Matthias took a day off, and we went to New York 2 times ... well, 1 time and half :) The guys didn't check the weather forecast, and unfortunately the tail of a hurricane reached New York the second day we were there ... ok, nice, but it was raining really hard and we only reached Greenwich Village before we decided to come back home.
Anyway, the city is really impressive! We just visited the south of Mahattan, and even that is a huge way to go. New York is famous for its frenetical pace, and indeed it is :)
The hood around the 5th avenue is really busy, and the skyscrappers super high.

Exit of Grand Central Station

Close to the 5th avenue, Central Park begins ... the park is really big. The combination of the trees and ponds with the skyscrappers is somewhat strange, but really nice.

After that, we're heading to Broadway (longway, rather, my god). Theaters, and finally we reach Time Square, and his famous new eve's clock. What is really funny in New York is that eventhough you have never been there, you are so accustomed to see the place in movies or TV that it seems all the way quite familiar.

Time Square

Ok, i should come back one day with longer time, to explore a bit more this huge city...
