L’île (Dao(3))

Les caracteres chinois se retiennent souvent par les clés de compréhension (environ 200, comme ‘eau’, ‘personne’). Ici, le caractère est assez intéressant de par son association d’idée. En effet, un des idéogrammes les plus connus est 山, qui signifie montagne. En associant 鸟  qui est l’oiseau (avec un peu d’imagination, pourquoi pas un oiseau sur une branche ?), on obtient 岛, l’île.

Bon, ‘l’oiseau sur la montagne’ ne fait pas immédiatement pense a l’île (loin s’en faut) mais au moins ça aide un peu :).

Indeed, one of the most famous ideogram is山, meaning mountain. Associating鸟, the bird (with a little bit of imagination, why not a bird on a branch?), the character 岛 meaning island is obtained.

Ok, it’s not so clear that ‘the bird on the mountain’ is an island :). At least, it helps a little bit.
